PolkaPlay — Bridging Social Media and the Blockchain
The first thought coming to mind upon hearing about PolkaPlay was, “Do we really need another NFT platform?”. The more I researched, the more I realized we needed a better solution to bridge the gap between NFTs and social media. The endless possibilities and accessible tools that PolkaPlay gives the user to engage and monetize their content, is just the beginning!
PolkaPlay is a platform that bridges social media and the blockchain. You can create and mint content into an NFT seamlessly, tokenize said content, and earn rewards. All whilst having the ability to share your talent with the world.
Content creators will do the same thing as social media platforms, such as Instagram and Tik Tok, with the added benefit of monetizing your content. Sounds too good to be true, right?
The user interface is simple and user experience heightened, with more advanced features at their fingertips like a Rewards Hub, $POLO staking, and the ability to grow their community using current social media features.
$POLO is breaking the barriers between social media and NFTs, giving the user endless possibilities with their gasless NFT minting. This would not have been possible without their partnership with Polkafoundry and Polkadot.
Minting NFTs can be an expensive and exhausting experience, however, PolkaPlay breaks this barrier, making it easy for mass adoption. PolkaPlay has created a process that is so streamlined, all should be able to use it with ease.
After the creation of an account, I trialed the process and can say that the interface was very easy to use. This process can be followed below:
Take a picture/video or upload your content on the Polkaplay platform.
Hold 100 POLO tokens in your wallet so you can mint your content to NFT.
Click on sell and list it on our marketplace
Currently, PolkaPlay is a working product and with the release of their $POLO token, the minting process can occur and selling of NFTs can begin!
PolkaPlay’s IDO on Moonstarter sold out in less than an hour, and the $POLO token will officially launch on the 6th of August. I can’t wait for the minting fun to begin and see the content produced by the talented PolkaPlay community!
